What types of searches does TrueHorizons provide?

TrueHorizons provides aerial search and recovery services for eligible wildlife, pets and livestock. Each request is reviewed based on the location, circumstances, property access, weather, airspace and applicable regulations.

What happens if a deer is found alive?

TrueHorizons does not use drone information to assist in pursuing or taking live wildlife. Wildlife searches are handled in accordance with applicable Wisconsin law and DNR guidance.

What can prevent or delay a search?

Weather, visibility, airspace restrictions, property access, site conditions, safety concerns and applicable regulations may affect whether a flight can be completed.

How quickly can you respond?

Response time depends on location, availability, weather, airspace and the details of the request. For time-sensitive searches, call or text directly.

Do you provide deer recovery services?

Yes. Deer recovery is one use of our aerial search service when there is a reasonable basis to believe the animal is deceased and the search can be conducted legally and safely.

What if the search is unsuccessful?

Terrain, vegetation, timing, temperature conditions, weather and other factors can affect what can be seen from the air. Search fees cover the time, travel, equipment and flight operation and are not dependent on a successful recovery.

What does thermal imaging show?

Thermal cameras detect temperature differences between objects and their surroundings. This can help identify areas of interest that may be difficult to see with a standard visual camera.

Does thermal imaging replace a professional inspection?

No. TrueHorizons provides aerial imagery and data collection. Thermal imagery does not diagnose structural, electrical, roofing, or other building conditions.

TrueHorizons offers aerial photography, aerial videography, combined photo and video sessions, property and structure imaging, thermal imaging and related commercial drone services.

TrueHorizons is based in Hilbert, Wisconsin, and serves Northeast Wisconsin and beyond. Standard services include the mileage allowance listed with the service, with additional travel charged when applicable.

Published prices cover the standard scope listed for each service. Additional travel, time, coverage, editing or project requirements may be quoted separately before work begins.
