TERMS OF USE

Effective Date: 10/01/2026

These Terms of Use apply to the TrueHorizons Services LLC website and the general services described on it. Project-specific proposals, quotes, contracts or service agreements may include additional terms. If a written project agreement conflicts with these Terms, the project-specific agreement will control.

WEBSITE INFORMATION

Information on this website is provided to explain TrueHorizons Services, available service categories and general pricing.

Service descriptions, pricing and availability may change and do not create a binding agreement until the scope and price are confirmed by TrueHorizons.

QUOTES & PRICING

Published prices apply to the standard scope described for each service.

Final pricing may change based on factors such as travel, property size, terrain, flight time, airspace requirements, site conditions, production time, editing needs and project scope.

Any additional work outside the agreed scope may require additional charges. Pricing and scope will be confirmed before work begins.

SERVICE AVAILABILITY

All services are subject to availability.

Aerial work may be delayed, rescheduled, modified or declined because of weather, visibility, airspace restrictions, temporary flight restrictions, site conditions, property access, equipment issues, safety concerns or legal requirements.

Commercial drone operations are subject to FAA rules, including applicable Part 107 operating and airspace requirements. Controlled airspace may require authorization before a flight can take place.

SEARCH AND RECOVERY SERVICES

TrueHorizons provides aerial search and recovery services for eligible wildlife, pets, livestock and other approved searches.

A successful location or recovery is not guaranteed.

Search fees compensate TrueHorizons for time, travel, preparation, equipment use and flight operations and are not dependent on locating or recovering the subject.

Terrain, vegetation, weather, temperature conditions, timing and other factors may affect what can be detected from the air.

WILDLIFE SEARCHES

Wildlife search and recovery services are conducted in accordance with applicable Wisconsin law and Wisconsin DNR guidance.

Wisconsin prohibits using aircraft, including drones, to hunt wildlife. The DNR evaluates drone-assisted retrieval situations case by case and considers factors such as whether the animal is reasonably believed to be dead and whether drone information is being used to track or pursue a live animal.

TrueHorizons will not use drone operations to hunt, pursue, drive or assist in taking live wildlife.

TrueHorizons may stop, modify or decline a wildlife search when continuing the operation could create a legal, safety or regulatory concern.

CUSTOMER-PROVIDED INFORMATION

Customers are responsible for providing accurate information that may affect the requested service, including:

  • project or search location

  • property boundaries

  • access points

  • known hazards

  • last-known information

  • required permissions

  • project requirements

  • other relevant details

TrueHorizons may rely on the information provided when planning and performing the work.

PROPERTY ACCESS & PERMISSIONS

Customers are responsible for obtaining permission required to physically enter, access or recover from private property.

A drone flight over or near a property does not grant the customer, TrueHorizons or any other person permission to physically enter that property.

TrueHorizons may refuse or stop work when property ownership, access rights or required permissions are unclear.

DRONE OPERATIONS AND FLIGHT SAFETY

The remote pilot in command retains final authority over whether a drone flight can be conducted safely and legally.

TrueHorizons may alter, postpone or terminate a flight due to weather, visibility, aircraft traffic, airspace restrictions, people on site, obstacles, equipment condition or any other safety concern.

FAA Part 107 requires commercial drone pilots to comply with operating restrictions and applicable airspace authorization requirements.

THERMAL IMAGING

Thermal imaging is provided for aerial observation, documentation and data collection.

Thermal imagery shows differences in detected surface temperature. It does not, by itself, identify the cause of those temperature differences.

Unless specifically stated in a separate written agreement, TrueHorizons does not provide:

  • engineering conclusions

  • structural inspections

  • roofing diagnoses

  • electrical diagnoses

  • mechanical diagnoses

  • code compliance determinations

Customers should consult an appropriately qualified professional when formal inspection, diagnosis or repair recommendations are required.

AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEOGRAPHY

Aerial photography and video services are subject to weather, lighting, airspace, location access and other flight conditions.

Deliverables will be based on the package or scope agreed upon before the project.

RAW photos, RAW video or source files are included only when specifically stated in the applicable package, quote or written agreement.

MEDIA SERVICES

Media projects may include photography, video production, short-form content, editing and related creative services.

The approved quote, proposal or project agreement will define items such as:

  • project scope

  • deliverables

  • production time

  • revisions

  • usage rights

  • ownership

  • payment terms

Work outside the approved scope may require additional charges.

Additional revisions, new deliverables, major changes in direction, additional filming or photography, new formats or other work outside the original scope may result in additional charges.

CANCELLATIONS, DELAYS AND RESCHEDULING

Weather, airspace restrictions, property access issues, customer delays, unsafe conditions, equipment issues or circumstances outside TrueHorizons' reasonable control may require work to be delayed or rescheduled.

Any deposits, cancellation fees, rescheduling fees or payment deadlines will be governed by the applicable quote or project agreement.

Unless specifically guaranteed in a written agreement, TrueHorizons does not guarantee a particular result from:

  • search or recovery efforts
